Italian Police Adds Another Huracan To Fleet

In the USA, the fastest cars on our police force are usually the newest American muscle cars which are obviously used for high speed pursuits. Recently the Italian police force were gifted another Lamborghini Huracan to patrol the highways in Rome. But the Huracan isn't just there to stop speeding drivers. These cars can actually save lives.

The new Huracan Polizia serves many purposes. Some of which can save the lives of those in need of new organs, and need them fast thanks to a special refrigeration system in the trunk of the vehicle. Also packed with a defibrillator, the officer driving the Huracan can show up in a moments on scene to save the life of someone who is going into cardiac arrest. Ego Mode on the Aventador S

Everyone is familiar with the different driving modes on modern Lamborghini's. Strada, meaning Street. Sport, which is self explanatory, and everyone's favorite, Corsa (Racing Mode). And switching between these modes is hilariously easy. Located at the bottom of the steering wheel on the Huracan, and located on the center console for the Aventador, it's quite easy to switch between each driving mode. Sport and Corsa modes will open up the valves and exhaust in the engine to direct more airflow, making the car more violent, and even louder.

With the recent announcement and release of the Aventador S, came the announcement of its "Ego" mode. This gives the driver the ability to customize their very own driving experience from being able to change the position of the rear wing, to changing the suspension settings. Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder

Everyone was expecting it sooner or later! Spyshots of the Lamborghini Huracan Performance Spyder making its rounds at the Nurburgring and on the road have surfaced within the past couple of days, and we would like to share it with you all. Just like every brand new car Lamborghini pushes out, a roadster version is never too far off; usually announced from a few months to a year after the initial release of the coupe.

Every time a new car is being tested on the track or on the road, it's covered in black and white so it doesn't give away many surprises in terms of how the body of the car is shaped, and some are even fitted with panels that won't reach production. The Performante Spyder will share the same specifications as the hard top, although will not be able to reach the same top speed with the roof off, just like every other roadster variant of a supercar. The official announcement of the car should be made sometime within the next coming months, so stay tuned for more information!

Lamborghini Centenario Tractors

Most hardcore Lamborghini fans are aware of how the company got its start in the tractor manufacturing business, and how they still make the best tractors in the world even today. Just a few days ago, Lamborghini Trattori made an announcement that 5 special tractors named The Centenario will be created to commemorate the 100th birthday of Ferruccio Lamborghini.

Two of these tractors have already been sold, and the official announcement at Techno Classica 2017 in Germany hasn't even started yet. Much like when Lamborghini introduced the Veneno and Centenario, all cars were spoken for before their official announcements. The Lamborghini Urus Production

Back in 2012, Lamborghini announced their new SUV model, the Lamborghini Urus. The vehicle was planned along with the plug in hybrid Lamborghini Asterion which was later then canceled. Announcements of a brand new factory specifically for the Urus surfaced just a couple of years later, and construction was backed by Audi. Lamborghini's newly appointed CEO, Stefano Domenicali recently announced that production for the Urus would start in April 2017.

The Lamborghini Urus was created to be the fastest SUV in the world, with a large 4.0 liter V8 engine that generates about 600 horsepower and can climb to a top speed of 205mph. Rumors surrounding the Urus speculate that the new V8 engine in the car will introduce hybrid technology brand new to the Lamborghini brand. New spy shots of the Urus have recently emerged from the internet of the camouflaged car on the road, and it seems that the car has taken on quite the change in design.

Lamborghini Painting Process

Aside from the over the top crazy design of the Lamborghini brand, above all else, the brand is known for having the most beautiful and wide array of colors available for their cars. I would like to walk you through the process of painting these vehicles at the Lamborghini factory. Lamborghini is one of the very few luxury car manufacturers that still hand paints their cars because they believe that humans still have the edge over machines when it comes to painting techniques.

When a finished Lamborghini body enters the paint shop, it is first primed and sanded to ensure that the body is smooth and has no imperfections. One person is required to paint the outside of the vehicle, while another paints the inside. This is because not one person has a painting technique that's identical to another. Each color has its own name and usually two or three variations depending on what the customer requests. The color range has been extended thanks to the Ad Personam Program. The fully painted body takes many many hours to finish, and is then inspected once more for imperfections in the paint.

The automotive industry as we know it has been utilizing incredible technology for the past 20 years. And one of the largest breakthroughs in lightweight composite materials is of course carbon fiber. This is perhaps the most interesting material in the world, because in it's natural state, it feels like fabric. But when exposed to high pressure and heat, the lightweight material becomes 5 times stronger than stainless steel.

Lamborghini has invented and patented a brand new way of creating solid carbon pieces for the interiors of newer cars. Shavings of solid carbon, fitted into a mold and exposed to extreme pressure and heat through a machine called an Autoclave, the finished piece not only becomes stronger, but has a very unique look. The best example of forged carbon fiber from Lamborghini is the entire body of the Sesto Elemento, which only weighs a little over 2,000lbs.

The Most Powerful V10 Lamborghini Ever

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is now the fastest production car to ever make a lap across the Nurburgring in Germany, and this is a BIG deal. For those who don't know, The Nurburgring is a 12.9 mile long race track in Germany where all of the major supercar manufacturers test how fast their vehicles really are.

It was said a car would never lap this giant track in under 7 minutes. Two Lamborghini's have now completed a lap in under 7 minutes. First the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce, and now the new Huracan Performante, which fast only 5 seconds faster than the Porsche 918 Spyder, which previously held the record for fastest production car to ever lap the track.

Lamborghini Delivers First of 40 Centenarios

About a year ago at the Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini announced the car dedicated to Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, the Centenario. Before the car was announced, all 40 of them had been bought by customers that have been with the Lamborghini brand over the past 30 years.

The Centenario is an Aventador based vehicle with a massive V12 engine and a full carbon fiber body. Priced at $1.8 million for the coupe and $2.2 million for the roadster, the Centenario is one of the most expensive Lamborghini's ever to be made. This vehicle explores new technology and engineering that will be later implemented into future Lamborghini models, and is already finding its way into the Urus.

Pre-Owned 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

The mid 2000's sparked the longest running model in Lamborghini history. The Lamborghini Gallardo took the world by storm only a few years after the production cycle of the Diablo. This car was brand new, had a smaller engine and a sportier look about it. There was a wind of change in the air... This was also the first time in Lamborghini history where they produced two models at the same time. The Gallardo and the Murcielago.

This Gallardo in particular boasts a powerful V10 rear mounted engine that generates 512 horsepower. Considering this Gallardo is a convertible, there isn't a clear window in the rear to view the engine, however the panel that covers the engine has larger openings to let out all of the heat generated by the engine. Unveiling the Avendator S

Don't forget that tomorrow, February 25th, 2017, Perillo Downer's Grove is unveiling Lamborghini's newest car, the Aventador S at 330 Ogden Ave, Downer's Grove IL, 60515.

The brand new Aventador S has taken on quite the overhaul. Considering the last Aventador on Lamborghini's assembly line was finished just a few months ago, this was needed in order to keep the car alive for the next few years before a new model is announced. Each Lamborghini model is a 10 year car, and goes through many changes in its production timeline. The Aventador S still has a V12 engine, but also generates 40 more horsepower than the previous model.

With a newly designed front end, the Aventador S is nothing short of intimidating. It still has the overall look of the previous Aventador, but with many differences. The carbon fiber blade on the sides of the car have been taken off to save weight, and two air vents on top of the engine have been added for extra cooling, and the car also has a brand new interior which is much more ergonomic.
